Sub-account Management
ABCProxy provides comprehensive sub-account management functionality, allowing you to create, modify, and manage sub-accounts with traffic limits and other settings.
Prerequisites
Before managing sub-accounts, please ensure:
- Active Main Account - Your main account must be active and valid
- Active Residential Proxy Package - You must have an activated residential proxy traffic package
Accessing Sub-account Management
- Log into the ABCProxy console
- Navigate to "Residential Proxies" → "Sub-account Management" page
- You will see a list of all existing sub-accounts
Managing Sub-accounts
Creating a New Sub-account
- Click "Create Sub-account" button
- Fill in the required information:
- Sub-account Name: Enter a descriptive name for the sub-account
- Username: Set the username for authentication
- Password: Set a secure password
- Traffic Limit: Set the maximum traffic allocation (GB)
- Description: Optional description for the sub-account
- Click "Create" to save the new sub-account
Modifying Existing Sub-accounts
- Find the sub-account you want to modify in the list
- Click the "Edit" button next to the sub-account
- Modify any of the following settings:
- Sub-account Name: Change the display name
- Username: Update the username
- Password: Change the password
- Traffic Limit: Adjust the traffic allocation
- Description: Update the description
- Status: Enable or disable the sub-account
- Click "Save" to apply changes
Setting Traffic Limits
- In the sub-account list, click "Traffic Settings" for the target sub-account
- Configure the following traffic settings:
- Monthly Limit: Set maximum monthly traffic usage
- Daily Limit: Set maximum daily traffic usage
- Warning Threshold: Set percentage for traffic usage warnings
- Auto-suspend: Enable automatic suspension when limit is reached
- Click "Apply" to save traffic settings
Managing Sub-account Status
- Enable/Disable: Toggle sub-account status to control access
- Suspend: Temporarily suspend a sub-account
- Delete: Permanently remove a sub-account (use with caution)
Sub-account Information
Each sub-account displays the following information:
- Account ID: Unique identifier for the sub-account
- Username: Authentication username
- Status: Active, Suspended, or Disabled
- Traffic Used: Current traffic consumption
- Traffic Limit: Maximum allocated traffic
- Creation Date: When the sub-account was created
- Last Activity: Last time the sub-account was used
Traffic Monitoring
Real-time Usage
- View current traffic consumption for each sub-account
- Monitor traffic usage trends over time
- Set up alerts for traffic threshold warnings
Usage Reports
- Generate detailed traffic usage reports
- Export usage data for analysis
- View historical traffic patterns
Security Features
Password Management
- Enforce strong password requirements
- Enable password expiration policies
- Implement two-factor authentication (if available)
Access Control
- Configure session timeout settings
- Monitor login attempts and suspicious activity

- Regular Monitoring: Check sub-account usage regularly
- Traffic Allocation: Set reasonable traffic limits based on actual needs
- Security: Use strong passwords and enable security features
- Documentation: Keep records of sub-account purposes and users
- Cleanup: Remove unused sub-accounts to maintain organization
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
Sub-account cannot connect:
- Verify the sub-account is enabled
- Check if traffic limit has been reached
- Confirm username and password are correct
Traffic limit exceeded:
- Increase the traffic limit if needed
- Check for unusual traffic patterns
- Consider suspending the account temporarily
Authentication errors:
- Verify username and password
- Check if the sub-account is suspended
